Saturday, May 4, during Arts Alive is the time to preview artwork from dozens of participating North Coast Open Studios artists, at the Ink People Center for the Arts’ Brenda Tuxford Gallery, 525 7th Street in Eureka.
“With more than 140 participants in this year’s event, the Artist Show and Reception is your first opportunity to pick up an Open Studios guidebook and start thinking about which artists you’re going to visit during the event,” says NCOS Coordinator Monica Topping.
The 21st annual NCOS is Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, and June 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an event kick-off art night on Friday, May 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. Open artist studios span from Fortuna to Trinidad, and east to Blue Lake.
For more information and event previews, visit North Coast Open Studios on Facebook. After the reception, the NCOS website will feature searchable artist listings and interactive maps, at www.northcoastopenstudios.com.
North Coast Open Studios is a DreamMaker Project of the Ink People Center for the Arts.
